Rose

PCC was able to receive a big order due to a rose garden. It was when PCC was newly established as a small footwear manufacturer. Although it was a small operation, all products were manufactured and delivered with the highest quality to meet customer requirements. One day, a representative from a large renowned overseas company came to visit and was very impressed with the lavish blooms in the rose garden. He never mentioned anything about this, but noticed every time he visited PCC that the rose garden was well tended and the blooms were beautiful and abundant. The rose plant is generally fragile and is easily susceptible to disease and insect infestation. For that reason, the customer concluded that since the roses are taken care of so meticulously, PCC must be stringent towards product quality. As a result, he placed a very important order that established the foundation for PCC in the future.

You will find many of CEO C.J. Tsai’s concepts and designs incorporated into the design of Windsor Hotel. Having once been an art teacher, C.J. Tsai strives for excellence and continue to use his artistic creativity to shape the foundation and image of the Pou Chen Group.

Rose

Design

The design of interior of the Windsor Hotel is like a collection of beautiful artworks.

First, you are greeted with the main lobby which is 3 stories high with an astonishing grandeur. The array of natural light falls through the glass windows from the beautiful garden outside, which is cozy and warm.

Everywhere inside the hotel, you will see traces and symbols of the rose, including the main lobby light, Rose Corner Bakery, rose paintings and etc. There is even a secluded area outdoors for the rose garden, hoping the brilliant and romantic roses will bring a pleasant mood for the entire day during the guests’ stay or dining hours. Behind this beautiful and elegant rose is a little background story.

Echoing the freedom and brightness of the sunshine corridor, it brings you shared space with reading and light. The multi-pane back wall design shows a relaxed and warm space atmosphere, allowing visitors to deeply experience the slow life and humanistic atmosphere of the hotel.

The simple stairs are matched with glass guardrails, and the overall design is very modern. Travelers take a break from walking and enjoy the time of contemplation of walking in the sea of clouds lightly and gracefully in daily life. It leads to Zhe Abalone Chinese Restaurant on the second floor and Gen Zen Teppanyaki Restaurant on the third floor. Everywhere in the planning of Windsor Hotel Taichung is the humanistic concept and meticulous design of the founder of the group. The founder, who used to be an art teacher, upholds his consistent and perfect persistence and uses the heart of artistic creation to shape this building into a spiritual fortress of the group's corporate image.

Insight Wall

Located on the back of the world map of the gate of the Pou Chen Group, the insight wall is completed by various construction techniques. The geometric design makes the overall space more lively and modern visual sense, and at the same time has insight into the essence of the world and life.

When you look up at the stars, it's like seeing all the stars smiling. Use the light sensor to enlarge the space, and at the same time guide the smoothness of the outdoor sunlight, a total of 88 lights senses like the stars, looking up like the starlight, and like the eternal existence of the stars, a deep and elegant existence.

    • Please take the MRT (stations A12 & A13) from the terminal to "A18 Taoyuan HSR Station."
    • From there, take the HSR to Taichung.
    • For express bus service, exit at #6 and take bus #161 from THSR Taichung Station to Central Taiwan Science Park. Disembark at the fourth stop, "FU-AN," where B&Q will be on your right.
    • Cross Anhe Road and enter through the main door of Pouchen; you will see the hotel reception on your left.

  • Exit at the Qinghai Interchange and, after two traffic lights, turn left onto FuKe Road.
  • At the first traffic light, turn left onto AnHe Road.
  • Continue straight for about 100 meters; the hotel parking sign will be on your right-hand side.

By Highway #3

  • From Taipei (heading south): Transfer to Highway #1 at the Hsinchu Interchange (South) towards Taichung. Exit at the Taichung Interchange (178K) and follow the directions for By Highway #1.
  • From Kaohsiung (heading north): Transfer to Highway #1 at the Chunghwa Interchange (North) towards Taichung. Exit at the Taichung Interchange (178K) and follow the directions for By Highway #1.
